This position is expected to research delinquent income and business tax accounts for assets available to garnish. Work involves completing garnishment forms with accuracy, entering execution information and answers to interrogatories into the Department’s database, and mailing certificates of service to taxpayers notifying them of garnishment. Work also involves responding to telephone call inquiries from taxpayers, accountants, attorneys, and the general public. An employee in this position will offer walk-in support to the Jefferson City Tax Assistance Office. This position also involves clerical work in support of garnishment activities performed and telephone calls received.

The ideal candidate for this position will have senior-level working knowledge and experience with Motor Vehicle and Watercraft titles and registrations, provides assistance to customers at the walk-in window, processes transactions brought in by title services on a daily basis, replies to phone calls and answers e-mails pertaining to complex titles and registrations, maintains and secures inventory items and prepares shipment for deposit.In addition to these duties, an employee in this position is expected to train new staff, mentor junior staff, and assist staff with complex or difficult questions or situations.
